Christmas Day Breakfast or Brunch Roundup

1. Comments

The sights of gift wrapping paper being shredded and thrown in the air and the sounds of ooohs and ahhs fill our home Christmas morning. Its a day spent in our PJ’s and a huge feeling of being blessed as we spend quality time with our family.  As a child there was nothing better, as an adult the joy is in making these memories for our kids.

I love having a big decadent breakfast on mornings like this.

First things first – before breakfast comes the drinks … coffee, tea maybe a little sparkly? How about some grown-up Hot Cocoa?

I’m sharing my recipe {+ photos} for my Salted Bourbon Hot Chocolate with The Average Girls Guide this week. This grown-up drink is a twist on a classic hot cocoa recipe I grew up drinking. This one has the salty goodness of Ghiradelli’s Intense Dark Sea Salt Soiree, broiled marshmallows and of course a good amount of Bourbon.

Cozying up to a drink like this is definitely a treat – you can skip the bourbon to make a kid-friendly option.
