Can you believe it’s almost October? The summer came and went and BOOM the fall is here.  The stores are carrying Halloween decor, and my kids already have a costume in mind {and have been reminding me DAILY}.

On a recent trip to the library Jaiden picked up a copy of Room On The Broom to read to Sienna. Now that he’s becoming a more proficient reader,  he’s reading more to Sienna and it’s truly a joy to watch.

Room On The Broom is a perfect Halloween tale about a friendly witch who is on a journey and makes friends in the most unlikely of places, and under the most unlikely of circumstances. It teaches children the true meaning of friendship. This is a great read for a 3 – 5 year old.

A few days after reading the book they also saw the movie. I’d like to say that was a brilliant plan on my part but I randomly picked out the movie from the rental kiosk at my supermarket.

The movie was beautifully narrated and visually stunning. It was fun for the kids to see the book come to life.

Kids Notes:

Jaiden’s favorite part: “How they all scared the dragon at the end … it made me laugh because they tricked him”

Sienna’s favorite part: “The magic broomstick!”
