There is nothing like a neighborhood restaurant that serves up great comfort food, fabulous cocktails all in a casual yet sophisticated atmosphere! Such is the case at Burger Bar in Palm Beach Gardens.
I visited last month and naturally expected a large selection of burgers, but I wasn’t expecting the high quality ingredients and creative side dishes and cocktails. Executive Chef Matthew Miller loves to get creative in the kitchen and use local ingredients and it shows throughout his menu.
I sampled the spicy tuna burger – think of everything you love about a spicy tuna roll but in a burger. It’s great if you want a meatless option or are looking to try something new.
My husband ordered the prime steak burger and it was amazing! It’s everything a burger should be, great quality meat, grilled onions and cheese melted to perfection.
I also sampled the Lobster Mac-n-Cheese, but was blown away by the Plantain Wafers – Southern Style BBQ pulled pork on top of a double fried plantain or as they’re traditionally known in the Caribbean ‘tostones‘. We inhaled them so quickly that I forgot to snap a photo of them. Order them when you visit you won’t be disappointed!
I washed everything down with their Cucumber-Basil Martini and they were kind enough to share the recipe with my readers!
Another goody on the cocktail menu is their Nutella Milkshake – it’s a cocktail and dessert all in one so save room!
