Cranberry Pomegranate Champagne Cocktail

Does anyone feel like December is going by way too fast? I haven’t made a real dent with my shopping or taken any Christmas photos of the kids {that is happening this weekend;  friend + photographer extraordinaire, Libby Volgyes is coming over to snap some pics for us}.

Although I’m not on schedule with some of the planning I have to say we’ve had our share of fun, this laid back approach to the season has been wonderful.

Earlier this month I celebrated my birthday and that same weekend my daughter and I went to our first ballet together – The Nutcracker.  It was amazing to see her eyes light up and watch her clap with such enthusiasm.

If your planning a big Christmas or New Years Eve party {or just looking to unwind while wrapping the gifts} this Cranberry Pomegranate Champagne Cocktail is perfectly festive and refreshing.

Trust me a little bubbly is exactly what you need for the season … cheers!

Champagne Cocktail Recipe:

  1. Drop a few cranberries into a glass. Garnish your glass with a curled orange peel.  Pour champagne, then sparkling water. Sip and enjoy.

Want to serve something festive for the kids? Try the classic Shirley Temple

  • 6 oz. ginger ale
  • 2/3 oz. grenadine
  • ice
  • maraschino cherries

Fill a glass with ice cubes. Add all the ingredients, stir and garnish with a maraschino cherry.
